Here is Miss Ella and her first successful big girl ponytail. She looked so grown up that it made me a bit sad. She loved it though, as you can see.
Side view of her big girl ponytail:
More of Lily's cute little smile, which looks sooooo much like Ella's did at that age:
Today Ella came running in the room in this mask. I pretended like I didn't know it was her...
So she promtly pulled her mask off, declaring, "Mommy, it's me, Ella!" She thought it was hilarious!
Meet Ella's two best friends, blanky and baby. This is actually blanky number two, since we lost her original one in the mall one day. I think I was more upset than she was and we did manage to find her another one that she accepted rather well.
Here is Ella sleeping with them. She won't go to bed without them. I'm glad that she has something that is so comforting to her.
Lily likes to sleep when we go out for walks and she always looks so peaceful. {As a side note, let me just state that I was always one of those people who insisted that my kids would NEVER and I mean NEVER have a soother. When Ella was about four days old, I realized that sometimes babies just need something to suck on and I gave in and gave her one. I took it away the week that she turned a year old and I plan to do the same with Lily.}
Ella was very interested in the red leaves that she was finding on our walk:
And she LOVES her shadow. It amazes her now it follows her around.
